Hi,

My current specs are

CPU: i5 6500 (will upgrade to i7 7700k eventually w/ NH-15 cooler)
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 (will upgrade to GTX 1080ti)
HDD: 1TB Samsung Evo 850 SSD
RAM: 16GB DDR4
OS: Windows 10

I'm looking for a 1440p monitor @144hz+, preferably 1ms response time, HOPEFULLY CURVED, and a price of under $700. I intend to play just about everything from tomb raider to fallout 4 to Battlefield 1, Rust, GTA, and Arma 3. I have one in sight, and was just curious of your guy's opinions on the matter! Tell me what you think, and recommend if you wish!

Thanks in advance!

The curved screens aren't worth it unless it's superwide. I've tried it in both 21:9 and 16:9 and it absolutely wasn't worth twice the money for the 16:9 imo, it felt pointless. You have to try it for yourself first, it's quite subjective I guess and it's a lot of money to throw away for no reason.
I did like the superwide curved though and i'll be getting one with my next upgrade.

I have this dell and love it: Dell Gaming S2716DG

It's $549 right now but I think you can get it as cheap as $350-$400 if you're willing to wait on deals but it's been a rare price.
It does gsync, ULMB, 144p, 27"

Personally I'm not a fan of curved so I can't help you there.

There are two monitors that stand out here, neither is curved ... most curved monitors are not 1440p but "wide screen" 3440 x 1440

The thing that makes them special is the IPS screens from AU Optronics. The Asus Predator XB271HU bmiprz and the Asus equivalent (PG279Q). My son had the Predator (twin 970s and later 1080 Ti) and it has the best gaming experience I have had so far.

If you want to drop down to TB, the Asus ROG SWIFT PG278QR and Dell S2716DG are options but at $550 - $650 for those, i don't think it's worth the money saved.

Are curved Screens really not that worth it? I know a lot of people take it as a gimmick, and to be honest, I was looking at that Dell monitor, that and the S2417DG, which is just the smaller version. I do like the G-Sync capabilities, but just thought a curved screen would beat it out. How do you take that Samsung Monitor listed? Thanks!

I think for super wide monitors it might be kind of neat to have a curve but personally not a fan. I would not say 100% that it's a gimmick on PCs because of how close you sit, however I think it's a gimmick for TVs.

In your opinion, do you believe the curve is worth the money? Currently my options are:

1.) Samsung C32HG70
2.) Dell S2716DG
3.) XB271HU / PG279Q (Which is 4ms response time, which seems a bit too slow!)

Which of these do you believe would be the best run for my money!

Thanks Again!
