If you want. I'm just offering an opinion. An informed one but still, it's just an opinion. The higher Hz does offer smoother gaming but your GFX card just isn't there.

You won't notice the smoothness. Why? For one the lower performance of the card ill cause issues and idk if you've experienced 60Hz gaming but it's just fine. I bought a TV a few months ago and that's what I'm using. Sniper Elite 4? Ultra settings? Beautiful. My GTX 970 can handle that refresh rate and 1440p but my wallet can't.

It's too much monitor for your card. If you were going to be upgrading anytime very soon to...
A 24" 1080p 60Hz monitor or TV will work best with that build. It has a great CPU but not really the greatest GPU(aka a graphics card). Having that mid-range GPU with only 2GB of VRAM you aren't going to be hitting such high FPS so that a 144Hz monitor will be justified. Sure, in some lower end/older titles you MIGHT see those numbers but more often than not you won't.

It's too much monitor for your card. If you were going to be upgrading anytime very soon to something like a 1060 then a 1440p 144Hz TV would be perfect. Yes, I saw the 1920 x 1080. Take a look at Photonboy's response to a similar question

A relevant excerpt - You don't want to drop below the target refresh rate (i.e 144FPS) or you get synch stutter issues.

The monitor you linked to doesn't have any kind of adaptive tech. so disregard those statements.

The most succinct I can get is do you want to bottom out your graphics settings(possibly also reducing your resolution) to help get to 144FPS or do you want the most eye candy possible? Eye candy? 60 Hz. Lower settings? 144Hz.

Apart from the performance issues that monitor is only $42 more at Amazon, brand new. What happens if it stops working in a month? Can you return it? Get a replacement?

I don't think that's enough monitor to justify $140 used.

I'd buy a https://www.amazon.com/Acer-R240HY-bidx-23-8-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B0148NNKTC .
