Dell U2415 no sound trough HDMI or DP

hi all,

I just bought a shiny u2415 and plugged it in to my desktop pc to my rx 480 video card using DP on video card and mDP on the monitor. Windows 10 shows me that the monitor is the default but i dont hear any sound. when i activate the sound on the monitor menu, the monitor plays the button sound.

is there any way to debug the problem ? I am gonna return it if this is not solved. here is a screen shot of playback options ScreenShot

Are you trying to pass audio through the monitor to speakers or something? From what I can find that monitor does not have any integrated speakers so it obviously isn't going to play audio.
