Hi, first off let me say i'm a newb about pc gaming lol.I play on a 144hz 1080p Samsung curved gaming monitor with 1ms response time and has freesync. The rx 480 is good enough for 1080p/60 fps on most games but I thought getting a 1080 ti evga sc2 would bump frame rates up to take advantage of my 144hz monitor at 1080p. So far I have been disappointed with battlefield 1 going anywhere from 60 fps to around 140 fps, other games are not performing like I hoped like GTA 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. I guess it seems like the 1080 ti is a waste for 1080p 144hz monitors. So should I keep my rx 480 I planned on selling for 350$ or keep the 1080 ti evga sc2 I payed 760$ for?
My pc setup
OS Windows 10
i-7 6700
16gb ddr4 ram at 2133mhz
2tb/ 7200rpm
850w psu

It's a freesync monitor, and Vega comes out July 30th. It might be a better fit with that monitor adding freesync, so you might want to take that into consideration. Of course I would wait for multiple sources posting benchmarks before making any purchases. It might be to your advantage to keep the 1080 Ti, and sell the RX 480. And if you want to try Vega you can easily sell the 1080 Ti since it hasn't been out very long.

Thanks for the reply, do you know around how much the Vega cards are supposed to be?

There is no pricing information, but leaked "rumored" specs show on version of RX Vega it to be 15% faster than a GTX 1080. You would think that Vega will be cheaper than Nvidia. ~$500
