Which monitor would be a better choice?

I am currently looking to upgrade my monitor (along with the rest of my setup). I do a lot of gaming on my computer (games such as Arma 3, PUBG, DayZ, etc.) I've come to a stand still with two monitors. The first one is a TN 24'' this is the link: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009513&utm_medium=Email&utm_source=EXPRESS070817&cm_mmc=EMC-EXPRESS070817-_-EMC-070817-Index-_-Monitors-_-24009513-S0A&ignorebbr=1
The second one is a IPS and is a 27''. This one is very slightly curved. The extra size and the little curve is what I like the most about it. Im not too worried about the prices, so with everything in mind, what would your guys' opinions be?

Other:
Personally, I find 2560x1440 to be the perfect resolution. I have plenty of games that look much better due to the extra pixels. Pretty much any game with smaller HUD/text will look far better. CIV series games, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, but also games with obvious aliasing (though anti-aliasing can be taxing).

Higher res is also good for the desktop. I love my old U2711 (IPS, 2560x1440, 27") though there are some 25" models that are $250USD+ I believe. see pcpartpicker.

*I'd rather have the first system:
1) 2560x1440 monitor + GTX1050Ti, vs
2) 1920x1080 monitor + GTX1080
#2 hands down.

IPS is better than TN.
27" is arguably low pixel density but you can move the monitor to wherever it's ideal.

2nd has Freesync too (for AMD R9-260X or newer AMD card), though it works only in a limited range. If I had to guess it would be 40FPS to 60FPS.

*If you can use Freesync, then you can try capping the FPS to a game at 55FPS, then tweak the game settings so you don't drop below 40FPS.

(why 55FPS? you can experiment, but for some reason when you get within a few FPS of the top of the range things get juddery.)

I wouldn't be able to use freesync since I have a 1050ti. Would it still be a good choice?

I'm not sure I want to spend that much on a monitor though...
