I am looking for a curved 3440 by 1440 monitor for gaming. My budget is $500. What would you recommend or feel free to tell me I am making a mistake for looking in that price range for a monitor of those specs. Btw I don't want speakers if that compromises screen quality in my budget

"Budget curved monitor" is a bit of an oxymoron. This is the cheapest I can find, its a Korean monitor so you may have never heard of the brand. But it reviews okay and I have heard mostly good things about wasabi mango monitors. Its only 60hz however, if you want say 100hz, which would be nice for gaming, then you will likely have to spend 1000 dollars or more.

There are some 16:9 27" curved monitors, but to me, that seems silly. 27" is just at the outside of flat while getting toward a 32" seems to be logical to see a curve.

From what I have researched in the past month or so, you'll be lucky to find a good curved monitor for less than $700. You may find flash sales, such as "Amazon Day" tomorrow, or Newegg sales where a nice Samsung 100mhz was on sale last week for $700. For that $700 range, you can find a Samsung or ASUS at 34", 100mhz. Async.

Until the end of the year and Black Friday sales, i twill be hard to find anything at $500 in a 21:9 format at 34"+/-.

I don't know if there's a MicroCenter near you, but, they do currently have an Acer (maybe slightly older model? CZ340CK) 21:9, 34", 60Hz for $600.

There's also an oddball curved Samsung 32", but it's 1920x1080, for $250 currently. That's not the resolution you're looking for, though.

I've never been a fan of speakers that are included in a monitor, though there are some $$$ very high end ones that include good speakers, as I understand it.
