Which monitor to buy?

Hello,
I wanna buy a 144hz preferably 27 inch, I found two that interest me but i'm not sure which.
Acer KG271Abmidpx Gaming - 271€ 1080p
AOC AG271QX - 485€ 1440p

Everyone is saying 1440p is better a lot but is it really so good for me to spend pretty much twice as much?
The prices are probably different in your country, I live in the czech republic and so i use our shops.
Also if you know of any better ideas, i'm free to suggestions

I'm also looking to buy a 144Hz monitor, preferably 1080p because 1440p is too expensive. My question is 27" too large for 1080p? I've heard you see space in between pixels.
