If I'm not mistaken, the 3847 only takes socket 1150 CPUs? The CPU you listed is socket 1155, which is not compatible.

A quick google search reveals most of them shipped with a Pentium G3220, which is a 4th gen CPU, so you would need an i3 whose model number starts with a 4 - e.g. i3 4170.

it depends on what model core I3 you plan to get. your best bet is to lookup your model number and see what kinds of core I3 CPU's were offered with it if any

Shows the system is 4th generation. I3 2120 is 2nd Gen. Will not work.
