Is it possible to install Windows 10 on a new HDD without a DVD drive/USB stick?

So, my friend has a computer, but he can't create bootable media such as a USB drive or a CD/DVD to install Windows 10 from.

Is it possible to make the ISO file, then install Windows 10 on the new HDD while on his old HDD still? By mounting it and all.

Yes. You can connect a new HDD into the same computer, then get a program like

and fresh install windows 10 onto your new hdd from an iso file.

That would involve making a recovery partion. Only differance is use D drive instead of C. Then move the drive into the other PC.
