27 inch or 29 inch for gaming and media consumption

Looking for a monitor that it 27 inch or 29 inch (title says it all).
i do watch many youtube videos at the highest quality. I currently use a benq 24 inch GL2460 60hz. I am looking for a monitor that is 1080p or higher but the most ill spend is $250. I have a gtx 1050 ti so not sure if a 1440p screen would be good

A 4k screen would be fantastic for media, and can be had for $330 on sale in the 27" form factor with a fantastic panel.

Aaah I see then.
In that case, I wouldn't go above 1080p tbh, a 1050 Ti can't even push 1440p at decent frame rates.
Best to wait for a GPU upgrade in that scenario.

I would still stick with 24" for 1080p, but its up to you, you lose quite a bit of ppi at 27" 1080p and it starts to look a bit pixellated.

the problem i am having is i bought the same monitor that i had about a year or two and when i plug my pc to it the screen if darker than my main screen (both at the same settings) but on console it looks just fine

Probably, that's the only thing that causes that issue afaik as long as you've tried factory resetting the monitor.

So I switched hdmi's and the color is is better than before but still not the same color

Because your PC has different color settings to your console, check display settings and tinker with saturation etc. till you get what you want.

got both to the same color but brightness on one is darker than the other but its at %100
