Can't set display to 75Hz

Hello everyone,

I can't set my Asus VW222 monitor to run at 75Hz, looking at it's specs, it says 75 is max. In the control panel of the display and in the advanced settings, it's set to 60Hz, and no other option is shown (also the settings that hides other options is not ticked).

Going to the AMD CCC, under My Digital Flat Panels, some info says: Maximum reported refresh rate: 75Hz.

Under Desktop Management, Desktop properties, 1680x1050 @60p Hz is selected,no other option is given, just under 60Hz, I really don't see the issue here, my monitor is 75Hz, and 60 is shown as max....

Anyone got any tips? Thanks in advance

Also, forgot to say, I'm using a DVI cable, my GPU is AMD XFX HD6870

it's not supported at 1680x1050. look at page 3-13.

Oh, damn. Thanks for the info, very helpful, but, is there a way to get it working on 75Hz, I heard people "overclocking" their monitors to work on higher Hz.
