Trying to migrate 32 bit to 64 bit.

I'm having troubles once I have downloaded the 64 bit and burned it to a disk I get the error message "This app can't run on your PC, to find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher". I have 16GB of ram and system says 32 bit operating system, x64-based processor. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Vishera 32nm technology
RAM: 16GB duel channel DDR3 @ 803MHz (11-11-11-28)

That is because your OS is 32-bit. 64-bit programs can not work on 32-bit OS systems. If you are trying to download Windows 10 64-bit, try doing it on a USB drive. If you have the Windows 10 64-bit key, try an download this Windows 10 installation media tool. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You can't migrate or upgrade a 32-bit os to a 64-bit os. Going to a 64-bit from a 32-bit OS requires a full clean reinstall from bootable os media. Make sure to backup all important data beforehand.

32 bit and 64bit use same keys btw, when you buy windows 10 you get both

if PC has had win 10 on it already, don't need the keys. when you reach the screen asking for licence, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 will continue to install and reactivate once finished
