I have been having serious fps spikes, frame issues and stuttering in many of my games since a few weeks ago and I have tried but I am at my wits end. This PC has always run the games in question flawlessly, and I cannot find the source of the issue.
My specs are:
Windows 10
Processor - Intel - Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard - Asus - MAXIMUS VIII HERO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Ram - Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
SSD - Corsair - Force LE 480GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
GPU - Zotac - GeForce GTX 970 4GB AMP! Extreme Core Edition Video Card
PSU - Corsair - RM 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
I have tried:
checking Ram Sticks, they are fine
checking the SSD and regular Hard Drive, games seem to have issues regardless of which drive they are on
making sure voltage is correct, everything is at recommended voltage
to give a bit more in depth explanation, the majority of my games will experience a small stutter or freeze for about one second, this seems to happen whenever I enter a new area, or textures are loading into these areas.
But for one specific game, Skyrim, I will get severe frame drops whenever I look at a graphically intense area or an area with a lot of entities, otherwise it always runs at a smooth 60fps. This started a few weeks ago and I don't believe I changed anything, the one thing I did do was
-"Start, type This PC"
-"Go to properties"
-"advanced system settings in control panel"
-"performance"
-"advanced"
-"change virtual memory"
-"unchecked automatically manage paging file size for all drives"
This was suggested to me because I had a problem viewing all of my ram, but I fixed that another way and just simply changed the paging back to automatic, so that shouldnt be the case.
Here is an example of the micro stuttering in games:

and here is my annoying skyrim issue, note: its always been modded this way, always been full 60fps until this issue started.

Any suggestions at all would be immensely appreciated.
