Can I do a dual SLI with a gtx1060 and gtx1080?

So a couple of weeks ago my computer broke down (which it had before) but beyond me or the local repair guys abilities to fix and I needed a new one fast (for work and gaming). So the computer that I had a company build came with a gtx1060 and my old computers graphics card I had just bought (gtx1080) and was also better. Now I noticed my new motherboard (TUF X299 mark 2) had two slots and I've looked around and haven't found a definitive answer of can I SLI with a gtx1060&1080?

No you can use the GTX 1060 as a physx card but physx isn't used that much anymore. Best option is to sell whichever card you don't want.

As spat said no you can't SLI two unlike cards.

As said slip needs the same model gpu.


However the 1060 also does not support sli. Sli support in games is in decline, really not worth it even with the right hardware.

the 1060 has the SLI connector removed to keep up the sales of higher end cards. So even if you wanted to, you cannot SLI any 1060.
