Dual monitor setup troubles

im trying to have a dual monitor setup so it can allow for games and web browsing/watching a stream. But im worried it might be too taxing on the cpu/gpu. Does having multiple monitors use more of the hardwares' power, or is it the same as having multiple windows open?

It's the same as having multiple windows open.
But it just allows you to see more windows.
