I have a custom built gaming rig and I need a new PSU. I found out that it's having issues and it's causing a heat issue inside my PC and I currently have a stand fan blowing into it to help keep my temps cooler (running 50c-60c when case is closed with stand fan it's around 30c to 40c

I have a
AMD FX 8350
24GB RAM (2 DDR3 8GB and 2 DDR3 4GB)
MSI 970 Gaming MOBO
MSI GTX NVIDIA 960 2GB GPU
EVO 212 Cooler
3 120MM fans
1 60MM fan
2 HDD SATA Drives 1TB
1 PCI-E Card (WLAN)
1 DVD-DVDRW Drive
1 USB 3.0 That's built into the case of the PC

Windows 7 64 Bit if that matters? xD

When I used cooler master and how much power do I need apps online they both said around 440 max load watt and recommended 475watt PSU. I was looking at getting this PSU:

https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-WHITE-Warranty-Supply-100-W1-0500-KR/dp/B00H33SFJU/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1501427543&sr=1-2&keywords=psu

Can anyone verify this will be enough power to run it please? I looked into that PSU and most everyone says it's great if you're not running the PC 24/7 but I'll be gaming around 6 hours when I work or less and about 10-12 on my off days if that. Thank you all for your time! :D

Its more than wattage but quality is important to handle the power draw of a video card. That EVGA isn't up to the quality needed for gaming or overclocking. Here is a good seasonic with more than enough wattage for your card.

Will I really have to have over 600 watts? I don't have the money right now to purchase one, but when I do I don't know if I could afford something like that if it wasn't on sale. I mean $80 (what most 550+ watts are it seems) is the cost of one of my bills. >.<

Not really about the wattage. The S12II is great quality and for the price is great. The PSU you picked is only a good PSU for office PC with no video card. This is to say the S12II is the lowest price quality PSU. May be your lucky day tho as this one just went on sale. Your GTX960 only need a 400~450w and that is on an average system.

I found this one: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438107&ignorebbr=1

It's 750 watt and I won't be anywhere near that max load and it's only $40. I read up on them and people said they're great if you're not maxing out the load or trying to force it to do multiple GPUs and I only have that 1 and it won't put out a lot of wattage as you said, so I think it's a good deal and worth a try. Afterall it has a 3 year warranty. If it catches fire then EVGA can give me more money back and a new house Just joking

Are the "rankings" really that important? Not to sound "newbish". I've built PCs for a LONG time, but never paid super close attention to the "ratings". I usually do the Bronze rating at least, but never had enough moolah for a platinum or gold rank. I dang sure don't right now. >.<

Not as far as them working. The ranking only tells you how power effeciant. IE bronze is 82% effeciant where the gold 87% at 3 load tests. Quality has nothing to do with those. Quality is highend parts plus great test results. Quality PSU's use 105c capacitors for example.

So the new one I linked, is it good? Seems better than the others I looked at in that area.

The one I just found is Bronze rated and above the wattage I needed and it was cheaper around $55 on Newegg and it's a Seasonic which is a good brand from what I saw on the link you posted, so I'll go with that one.

O my browser didnt refresh and I didnt see your double post with the S12II 620w. Its the same one from my first post. You can get it cheaper at SuperBiiz if you dont like rebates. Its a fine PSU tho so sure get that one.
