Sorry for the strangely worded title. Here's the situation. I currently have a GTX 1060 X 6GB, connected to an Acer R240HY by HDMI. Going to purchase a Dell S2417DG, which I plan to connect by DisplayPort into the same graphics card. Sorry for being absolutely clueless, will everything work out ok?

Solution
Yes, it would work. Your GPU can support up to 4 displays. Thus, you can use the different ports (DisplayPort, HDMI, and/or DVI-D) on your GTX 1060-6GB Gaming X GPU.

I had 4 monitors (but using a GTX 970), and connected them using DisplayPort (first monitor), HDMI (second monitor), DVI-I (third monitor), and DVI-D (fourth monitor).
