My HDD lost like 20gb of space after a shut down with a pop up error.

So I turned my pc on again and see that I lost 20gb~ of space. I had about 254 before the shutdown and after I turned it back on it had like 225gb of space. Later after I used shadow play to record something it went from 225 to 243. What is happening to my computer

It says it doesn't see any problem. It might just be a temp file.
