After my dad was fidgeting with some wires today the power in the house turned off which caused my pc to instantly shut down. After the power went back up I was experiencing tremendous lag and 68-100% cpu usage constantly mostly caused by "system" hovering at around 50-80% usage.
I've been in the BIOS, removed all my overclocks and set performance mode to normal mode. And all components were detected and showed the right numbers. I still get the same result.
Shutting down or restarting the pc will cause the pc to freeze when the text "Shutting down" or "Restarting" appears.
The moment of the crash I was in a discord call with someone, I only had my file explorer, Photoshop CS6 and osu! opened.
I'm using:
motherboard: ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING
Processor: Intel afore i5-6600k 4CPUs @3.5GHz
Memory: 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RAM
Graphics Card: ASUS ROG STRIX GTX1060 OC 6GB
Power Supply: Corsair CX600
Processor Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO
SSD: Kingston SUV400S37 - 240GB
HDD: not entirely sure, can't find the box anymore. It's a Seagate 2TB drive though.
System: Windows 10 Pro 64bit (Dutch)
