Montor power button blinking on and off w/ no display

Yesterday I shut down my pc and monitor normally, the next day I find my monitor power led/button turning blue (on) for 2-3 seconds and then off, cycling like that. Nothing showing up on the screen obviously, same problem without the dvi cable. Also some weird power noises can be heard, but they were also like that before. Already tried unplugging and holding the power button for about a minute. Acer x223w

blinking mostly means some kind of malfunction.

TLDR:
one guy say its capacitor (would make some wired noises)
one say that going to HDMI helped him.

Actually I fixed it! I let it cycle like this despite the weird noises and after 15-30 minutes it went to normal!
