Wrong resolution for HP Pavilion 27xw

I just purchased a used PC and installed windows 7 on it, which is my preferred OS. When I connected my Pavilion 27xw to it I tried setting the resolution to 1920 x 1080, which is the recommended configuration, but I'm not getting it as an option, even after I installed the drivers and software from the disk that came with the monitor. The best I can find is 1280 x 1024. What am I missing here?

What about installing monitor drivers (not display drivers)
