My internet is unstable. I can't play online games via home Wi-Fi.

I tried getting into League of Legends, but my games always ended with me disconnecting. My ping in League was about 77.

I thought it was only a problem with League, but I recently got Splatoon 2 for the Nintendo Switch and It has the same problem.

So it both wifi and ethernet having issue? any other devices? might be your modem/router or issue with your isp

I just installed an ethernet cable, but it didn't solve the problem.

I found out recently that I can play games at my local libraries, so the problem isn't my laptop or Switch.

Now, I'm trying to figure out whether it's my modem or router that is the problem. Any suggestions for how to check?

is the Ethernet cable directly to the modem or router?
login to the modem and look at the Diagnostics/status page to see weak signal.
