Looking to upgrade Graphics Card

I'm on a 200$ budget while upgrading my PC, which i know is low but i really feel like i need the upgrade ASAP. Currently I'm running a Nvidia GTX 650 ti, with a AMD phenom quad core Processor.
I'm more of a Nvidia fan so would prefer that over AMD, I would love any suggestions and/or advice. Currently, I was looking at the GTX 1050 TI seeing as it seemed cheap but I don't want to make a decision i might regret.

GTX 1050 ti is a good choice. But if you can get gtx 1060 for under $200, then it would be even better one.

phenom I or II?

if its phenom I dont bother upgrading the gpu

if its phenom II a gtx 1050 ti is about max you should be running with it, the cpu will bottleneck it if its not overclocked
