i have i7 4790k with msi z97 gaming 3 and i'm not overclocked the cpu , my cpu cooler msi core frozer l
the temp in IDLE 35° and 100% with intel burn test above 80 °
what's the problem ?

make sure your fan curve is set up to go to 100%, reapply thermal paste, reset bios settings.

it is also possible that you just have a chip that runs hot.

It is idles at 35' and then over 80' while gaming, I would look at the fan first as well as radioactive mentioned.

How hot does it get if you run the latest version of Prime95 Small FFTs for a few minutes? About the same? If so, then it's normal.
