Fun Discussion: RX Vega 64 Liquid Or GTX 1080 11Gbps?

Just like our previous discussion, we have two very similar graphics cards the GTX 1080 and RX Vega 64Liquid variant. Which one would you choose?

This time, both GPUs are IDENTICAL in price (so say they are both $600 for this thread's sake). Which one would you choose?

1080, if the price for liquid cooled 1080 is also the same. Even if it's air I'd still pick a 1080.

It performs marginally better at a much lower power draw and at lower temperatures, especially if it's water cooled like the V64. The V64 looks a little better, but I've also heard the AIO cooler for the V64 is quite loud.

The 1080 ... Vega features include:

Too much heat
Too much Power
Too much noise
Zero overclocking potential

Personally, Ive always been a custom loop guy, never had or met anyone IRL or on line who had a problem . But today's open loop AIO coolers from EK and Swiftech (and to a lesser extent Alphacool) are real EZ to add liquid cooled GFX card. This is a very popular combo Swiftech h320 X2 of H240 X2 w/ ridiculously priced ($549) MSI GTX 1080 Sea Hawk EK X (full cover ek water block and backplate preinstalled ($150value)

But I agree w/ above poster if we talking about CLC / hybrid cooling ... not interested if its free.

You will need (2) G-1/4 gfittings, 18" of tubing and some extra coolant, all of which you can get from Swiftech
