CPU Usage Increases After Installing Ram

I'm kinda newish to the pc "scene". Bought a pc with 8gb of memory and decided to install two 4gb sticks (Link to the sticks, not the best I don't think: http://a.co/3QahTpe). Before this my cpu usage used to hang around 1%, it would never go over 5%. Now that I have installed the new ram they're both pretty much the same level usually staying at 24% for ram and 25% for the CPU (without running anything). Is this supposed to happen? Did I do anything wrong?

You'd need to examine task manager/processes to see which processes might be running, perhaps coicidentally with your newly installed RAM....

Any Windows update (or any other application update, DropBox, GoogleDrive, etc.), virus scan, etc., will run up usage temporarily....
