Good morning-

I've looked online for an answer and cant seem to find one so if someone has a site for me to go to please share the link and ill take a look.

My work setup has me using a dell laptop with a docking station hooked up to 2 monitors with the laptop closed. Im 90% of the time if not more in this configuration. However, for meetings, i undock and bring just my laptop. When i do that, all my windows get screwed up. Example - when im at my desk, i have chrome on the right monitor coverign 75% of the screen so i can put a stock ticker next to it. When i undock, everything goes to the laptop screen and i lose my positioning. Its not the end of the world but its a little annoying.

Is there any way to use the new windows 10 multiple desktops to arrange things the way i want and reset them when i undock? or is there a program that would let me do this?

thanks!

I have the same set up. Windows positioning doesn't bother me that much. However, icons moving around drives me nuts. Here's a free program to manage the icon positions: http://www.sordum.org/8366/reicon-v1-7-restore-desktop-icon-layouts/. After setting up a docked and undocked profile, it's one right click on the desktop to reset icon positions. Another program that you may want to try is: https://www.displayfusion.com/. The paid version may help you manage windows positions.
