Using the Spatial Sound on an usb headset

Hello! I found in the windows store today the Dolby Access app, and i wanted to give it a try. however when i use my gaming headset, an asus Strix 7.1, i cannot select any spatial sound setting, compared to my movie/music sennheiser headset.

Is there any way to override the greyed out selection box?

I know the Strix have their dedicated preamp, but i would really like to use dolby atmos in games too.

Spatial sound is for stereo headphones. You shouldn't use it with headphones that are already 7.1. In games you want to set it to 7.1 or 5.1 if they have it if not your stuck in stereo.

i do have those options, but i tought dolby atmos would be a nice feature.

You've got much better surround sound on those headphones as is...
