Samsung 2230rz (120hz monitor) cannot switch to higher than 77 hz

Folks what is up with this combination: gtx 660 OC 2gb + Synchmaster 2233rz + win 7?
Why cannot I, switch from the 77 hz custom resolution to the 100-110-120hz options that are there by default only to get "No signal detected" message?

I had played with this same gpu at 160Hz with a CRT monitor, i dont know what else to do.
Either this monitor is damaged or the Gpu does not stand LCD monitor with 120hz.

What cables/ adapters are you using to connect the monitor?
You have to use dual link Dvi-D cable to enable 120Hz operation.

This monitor has only one entrance which is Dvi-D indeed

Hi Sky, it is Dvi-D single link, the one in the middle.

Then get DVI-D dual-link cable. Without it 120Hz mode will not work.
