The bios says 52C, which is borderline tolerable, time to replace the stock intel deal...

Just to make life easier for people, 257F = 125C.

And I'd have to say, obviously, it's just being read wrong. :wink:

Thats what I figured, when I saw that I looked and my cpu fan was spinning, so I just laughed and said, "yeah... ok..."

If it is stable i wouldnt worry about BIOS temps. Your system will throttle itself to prevent fire anway if that eases your mind. Its always sad to see those kind of temps from stock cooling though.

Look for a BIOS update for you motherboard.

They usually include fixes for wrong temp readings ???

Thise readings are obviously false.
