oil in water tank

Hi,i have a 03 ford transit diesel tipper and have oil in the water coolant reservoir, truck seems to be running ok

Bad head gasket.

That would be my guess as well, just wondering if the block might be busted

You should take it to a shop where they will take off the radiator cap and apply air pressure into the radiator. They will then check the psi after a while to see if the pressure drops. If so, blown head gasket (best case) or cracked head or block (worst case).

Did your vehicle ever overheat?

All the above but have a question to add:

Did you check the source of the water used in the last reservoir fill? Or any interim container, hose, or funnel that was used?

Or know who may have refilled the reservoir?
