How to properly remove a webcam?

I know this is a dumb question, but how do you remove a webcam properly? I bought a logitech c922 webcam but I don't wanna use it yet especially when I don't have knowledge when it comes to removing webcams, so how do I remove a webcam do I just plug the USB out or do I need to eject it? I tried ejecting a webcam before but I can't see the eject option.

In case of USB cameras - yes, it's safe.
For other devices like USB flash drives and external storage drives - they have to be safely removed first.
