Hi,
I have built a custom PC and for the most part it runs very well, however for short periods it experiences errors where it randomly shuts down or give me the WHEA UNCORRECTABLE BSoD. I have downloaded Blue Screen View and it seems to point to hal.dll as the cause of the error, and I have uploaded the dump file, but if anyone could help me, I would be very appreciative. http://

Thanks!

Solution
WHEA = Windows Hardware Error Architecture.
HAL = Hardware Abstract Layer, dll that makes communication with hardware possible.

0x124 crashes only occur when the CPU notices a hardware error in either of its caches hence the HAL.
Hardware errors can be caused by:
- hardware (of course)
- hardware related things, dust, temperature, BIOS, etc.
- drivers
- software, programs like Daemon Tools, motherboard/laptop manufacturer software are known for causing hardware BSOD errors.

To make the list of possible causes smaller we'll need at least the actual dumps (multiple!).
