I recently started playing the original PS2 game at nearly 1080p (1536x1344, 3x PS2 native) and was just about to finish the story on the first play through. My timing is terrible.

Too bad the sales go to Capcom and not the original developers of the game: Clover Studios. Oh well.

I hear you. Clover was awesome. Would love to see a Godhand remaster too.

But I won't complain here.. I'm slowly getting all of my old favorites on PC. This will be one.

I very much plan to purchase this when it's released on PC as well. I've seen a lot of HD remasters lately and a lot have been done fairly well. My most recent favorite was Valkyria Chronicles.

It is most certainly nostalgia goggles. I could even link you pictures to compare with if you were curious. The preview video is significantly higher quality than the original PS2 game. Although, it also appears they muted the inking effect so that might be playing a factor.
