WIN 10 Random CPU Usage 70-100% While Idling.

Hi, i have a problem as the title says, I have win 10 pro. My CPU is Intel Pentium G4560, not even a single high tasking program running on the background, checked with task manager, the only culprit i can find is Service Host : Superfetch.
Haven't had any windows update for a month at least, and never had any problem since i have this PC. Any solution?

If it's constantly doing this then turn Superfetch off. I do a lot of CPU monitoring and have never seen it kick in, so it shouldn't happen very often IMO.

I have 16GB of system memory though, and an SSD so one or both of those may significantly affect how often precaching kicks in.

So is this been happening for hours, days or weeks?

If it's less than a day then leave it, and if it continues to be an issue try disabling Superfetch:

UPDATE: ignore the last part where they recommend Windows Care Genius. In general, avoid memory optimizers and registry cleaners.

*Also, the article mentions MEMORY USAGE and if it's "occupying too much space" ?? HUH? At the present time mine is 1.1MB. It may temporarily get larger, but otherwise 1.1MB is pretty small considering 1GB is 1024MB and most people have 4x that.
