I'm interested in buying a gaming monitor to replace my ageing Samsung Syncmaster 2032BW which has served me well for all these years.

I'm looking for low response times for gaming (FPS,MOBA,RTS etc) but not competitive. Other uses will be films/tv shows, streaming sports and the obligatory web browsing.

Budget is £150-200 ($200-$250), the model needs to be new-ish, ie something that came out the last 12 months and if possible Freesync or something else that will a certain degree of futureproof-ability (if that is a word).

Ideally I'd pay £200($250) for something that is great value for money or brings a lot of good stuff to the table that makes it a seriously good deal.

Thanks in advance!

IPS is okay if you are moderate gaming, mostly they only have max 60/75 Hz refresh rate (max), because the technology they use make it not possible to get higher refresh rate
That 15 Hz different wont noticeable in daily usage, unless you comparing 60 and 144 or 244

Bot are have similar spec,
But i'l go with R241Y because have better ports and power

That's a TN panel though isn't it? I'm interested in IPS ones. Also I found a review on it from 2013 :D
For a TN panel I have in mind the ASUS VG245H
https://www.asus.com/uk/Monitors/VG245H/

I want to see what people think or know are the best IPS monitors for gaming in that price range.
Thank you though :)
