I currently have geforce 310m graphic card installed in my PC, as someone suggested in earlier threads i am planing to install gt 1030.
My mobo is asus m2n68-am se2 and Phenom ii x4 955 processor.
what I need to ask is, after changing the Graphic card, do i have to reinstall the operating system all over again or it will work directly? or is there any settings are there to be modified.
kindly inform me in detail as i am new to this and not having much knowledge in this regards.
I am currently running windows 10.

Optional ) uninstall current video driver using http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
1) Power down system
2) Unplug power to system
3) Unplug PCIe power connector (If applicable)
4) Remove retention screws
5) Depress lever at the back of the card slot (right hand side of the pcie slot when facing the motherboard) and pull the card out of the slot.
6) Install new card in the slot.
7) Install retention screws
8) plug in PCIe power (if applicable, not so for a GT1030 or GT310)
9) Plug system back in
10) Boot
11) Download or Install latest drivers from https://www.geforce.com/drivers
12) Reboot
13) Test

If you are having issues, you can try running the Display Driver Uninstaller again.

I should point out that is a very old motherboard with a traditional BIOS. A GT1030 may not work in such a system as some of the cards out there require a UEFI style BIOS to work properly.
