New monitor color settings help

So I got a new monitor and I have my old monitor next to it, I followed a guy on this site for some good settings for my monitor and when comparing the two some of my games looked washed out in comparison or maybe its just me.

Certainly looks like you went from a TN panel to IPS / AVHA

I would check to see if TFT Central has your monitor, they often provide their take on calibration settings to try. http://tftcentral.co.uk/

I also have used this site, mostly for brightness levels. http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/

Some people are used to washed out colors running their monitors at max brightness. I myself am partial to nearly as dim as possible, then doing some color correction to compensate.

But real calibration tools cost money. Over time you can get used to pretty much any monitor.
