Suddenly getting a bunch of direct inbox messages for questions

Ok, this has never happened to me before. Suddenly, however, I'm seeing that I'm getting questions directly in my inbox, mostly seems like the sorts of questions that someone might normally post in the forums, and they're NOT followups to comments I've made in trying to answer someone's question in the forums.

Never got any like this in all the time I've been on Tom's. Yesterday was the first time, and I've received four of them so far.

Anyone have any idea why this is suddenly happening, and how to get it to stop?

Unfortunately no way to stop it. Even with the signature I have I still get them. I usually just delete them and/or tell them to create a thread.

Coincidence on timing really. People tend to pm people they see posting. It could even be very old threads which usually is the case.

1. 40% of my PM's are people asking random questions that should be a Forum thread.

2. 40% are me telling someone..."What you just did...don't do that again"

3. The other 20% is pings from people informing me about an issue that needs a Moderator to handle. Duplicates, or someone being an idiot. Which often results in #2...
