So Im going to buy an ASUS GTX 1050 Expedition 2 GB but I have only used VGA port until now. My monitor has VGA, DVI and DisplayPort. Sooo my question is can I actually connect the new gpu and the monitor only with an DVI-D cable or DP one or im going to need to buy an adapter?

Solution
ASUS GTX 1050 Expedition 2GB... https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/EX-GTX1050-2G/specifications/

Interface
DVI Output : Yes x 1 (Native) (DVI-D)
HDMI Output : Yes x 1 (Native) (HDMI 2.0)
Display Port : Yes x 1 (Native) (Regular DP)
HDCP Support : Yes

You can either connect to the Display Port directly. Or get a DVI to VGA converter like this... https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-DVI-Cable-Adapter-DVIVGAMF/dp/B000067SOH or use a HDMI to VGA adapter like this... https://www.amazon.com/Rankie-Gold-Plated-Active-Adapter-Converter/dp/B00ZMV7RL2

For best performance, Display Port connection is recommended.
