I'm trying to configure my computer set up the most efficent way I can.

I have two monitors: Asus VG248QE and an Asus PB278Q

The Asus VG248QE is going to be my main gaming monitor, whiel the PB will be for youtube, school work, etc.

I also have 2 GTX 970s, i5-4690 cpu, an MSI z97 Gaming-5, and 12 gb of ddr3 ram(8 of hyperx, and 4 that I scrapped of an old computer)

What I want to do is have the VG be connect to the graphics cards alone, and it will be connected with a DVI cable. And have my PB be connected to the IGC.

I looked up and saw that the integrated graphics on the i5-4690 support 1440p but when I have it plugged it it only goes up to 1080p.

I have been to the bios and enabled IGD multi-monitor and the nVidia control panel says that it is connected to only the VG.

So my problem is why isn't the PB278Q not able to go up to 1440p? Am I doing somthing wrong? Thank you for helping!
