I'm currently using a 21:9 Dell Ultra wide (3440x1440) monitor. However I'm wanting to upgrade to something with Gsync and a little higher refresh rate.

I was thinking about the X34 Predator but I make youtube videos and record gameplay and unfortunately youtube has very poor 16:9 support. I've uploaded a few 16:9 videos but it just makes it look like you're watching a movie.

On the other hand I think 4K would be a good option as well. You get a few more px (which is nice) but you don't get the ultrawide experience. I also have no idea whether 4K can even display above 60hz atm. I may be wrong.

Any recommendations? Is there anything new coming to the market?

Err, what? 4K is typically used to refer to UHD (3840 x 2160), which is 16:9. 16:9 is standard widescreen, not ultrawide (which is 21:9). Your current monitor would be 21:9.

I don't think any 4K monitors with >60Hz refresh have been release yet, although several have been announced.
