How do I unfollow a thread?

I read somewhere that you just tick a box (UNFOLLOW / STOP TRACKING THIS THREAD) at the bottom of the thread, but I don't find any. If I have to find my own post in that thread it'll be near impossible as there are well over 2000 posts there.

there is not box to tick. you have to go to the very first post to see the unfollow option
