Using a 50hz TV as a monitor

Hey!
I'm looking to build a media room as cheaply as possible - I have found plenty of 4K 55 inch TVs at silly cheap prices but they have a 50hz refresh rate. This isn't a problem for playing videos as a TV but i'm wondering if it would be OK to use as a monitor - I don't intend to use it for gaming just Windows 10.

Yeah, no problems. Windows will run at the refresh rate of your monitor, so 50 Hz that is. You can even use it for games, you'll just not be able to see more than 50 FPS in any game.

Fantastic! Will the quality of the image suffer as a result of using Windows, a 55 inch TV and 50hz rr?
