No Hard Disk Is Detected?

My friends computer started having trouble when booting.
In the Bios it just says "no hard disk is detected" then continues and freezes when loading windows?
I'm still new to all this, so i was wondering if anyone might know the problem.

Change os .. if os takes time more than one hour to install then you have to change your hard disk ..

Just put it in another computer and delete system reserved and back up all photos , and format other local disk , then try installing os .. if it takes more than a hour , then , its time for you to change your harddisk ..
You can try installing os everytime by deleting the system reserved ..

The OS isn't the problem if you are getting "No hard drive detected". If possible, try seeing if it is detected in another computer since it might be on the way out.
