What is better PC or Console

Ye you may not want to start that argument.

I think both are great.

PCs:
-Custimizable / can change all components
-Can load programs faster
-Can run at a higher refresh-rate and resolution
-Can render, encode/decode, encrypt/decrypt, burn data to discs and transfer large amounts of data across storage fast.
-Can play games at higher settings
-Mod support for a high number of games
-More frequent OS and software updates
-Can play music and movies
and this is just a few of the things that are great about computers

Consoles & handheld versions:
-Cheap
-Portable
-Small
-Easy to load up a game straight away
-More comfortable to use
-Can play movies & music
-Exclusive games
And there is more depending on the console you get

For pure gaming (ie you're not interested in general computer use) a console would be the best choice (you just stick a compatible game disc in it and away you go - - no technical hardware stuff to consider)

If, however, you want to game and do general computer stuff all on the same machine, then obviously choose a PC.

I'm not saying one is better than the other, it's just a case of which would be more suitable to the individual trying to decide.

this is a trick question because you will find that all consoles are now basically pcs, long ago consoles used to be their own build of internals, only accpeting a cd/dvd/bluray tray (after cartridges) as th pc like component - to save money for developers needing to bulid cartridges (cds etc cheaper at 8p a disc).

it would not suprise me at all if every console runs on some form of custom linux. because its free, means its cheaper to develope the console (and easier to fix/patch with the large community of programers already avail.)

so basically i would say PC is best because a console is basically a specialised PC that cant instal programs other than games (xbox can i guess).

its PC for me, because I cannot do my gaming AND make my weekly technician travel reports in excel with a console., so why buy 2 things when I can have both in one. besides I have played consoles games, and I hate the controllers, and watching a game on a 60": led wall mounted tv is just not as crisp as resolution as anything else made for PC gaming, also all my friends are pc gamers, not console gamers. and yes I own a console... Nintendo 64, and I rock Mario Bothers :)
