Reccomended OC for GTX 980 SC

I have been looking around and it seems people feel as though +100 on the GPU clock and Memory clock is a small OC on the GTX 980 however every time I run the test past 100, Heaven benchmark crashes. If I just put it at 100 both the benchmark and some games run without a hitch. Are there any recommendations for OCing on my 980 SC? This is the first time I have OCed a GPU.

You have the "SC" model. This stands for super clocked. It's already factory over clocked and stability tested.

I knew it stood for super clocked but I didnt know it meant factory oced. Thank you!

No prob. Some of them may have a little room for more overclocking - but essentially the SC version is guaranteeing the chip will run at the factory overclock speed. All chips are different, like CPU's. Installing a liquid cooler may let you bump it up a little higher. Probably not worth all that work and cash for a couple hundred Mhz though.
