I m planning to buy gtx 1050 ti but I have a basic monitor of 1280x720 resolution(720p) 60HZ which is not even HD.so buying that graphic card would be a good decision?or it will be waste of money by pairing it with such monitor?

It's never really a waste of money to get a strong GPU since you can always upgrade the other parts to benefit the most from it.

So, IMHO if you have the money and your current experience while gaming isn't satisfactory, go ahead and grab it. For 720p the 1050 Ti is much more than enough and will play anything you throw at it, and if you ever desire you can bump up the monitor to 1080p 60Hz as well.

What do you have right now? It doesn't make sense to buy the new GPU if the card you have handles your gaming needs already. You might also went to consider the 750TI. Will still handle your gaming needs at 720, and can save you some money.
