More monitors, Lower FPS? I NEED HELP!

I have just purchased 3 more monitors off ebay as i found them for cheap and need some for school work ect, Now, when i play games at 1080p on my main 24 inch monitor i get a much lower FPS. Is this normal ?

I have 4 monitors in total 3 of them are 1280 x 1024 and the one i use for gaming is 1920 x 1080.

If i got a 1060 Would that improve the issue?

Are all your monitors attached to your GPU? If not is your main attached to your motherboard? Normally more monitors should have no real impact on performance.
