So, the title is slightly misleading... as I'm actually upgrading my machine. But I am changing so much that it is almost as if I was building it all new.

So I've been looking to upgrade my CPU for a while, and the new i5 8400 looks quite interesting.
First of all. Do you think there will come out newer boards that will support the 8th generation chips, or is it literally only the z370 that will support it for a reasonable amount of time?
Secondly, what do you think about this set up?

Mobo: https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-Socket-Chipset-Z370A-Pro-Motherboard/dp/B075NFFNPJ/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1508804847&sr=1-2&keywords=z370
CPU: The i5 8400
Ram: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-16GB-8GBx2-PC4-19200-288-Pin/dp/B01BIWLED0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1508803747&sr=8-2&keywords=ddr4%2B2400%2B16gb&th=1
Heatsink: So I'm not quite sure. I currently have a pretty good heatsink for my i5 4570, but I'm not sure about the compatibility.. Can I re-use my current one, or will I need to buy a new one? If new one, any suggestions?
GPU: Not changing my current MSI GTX 1070
Case (if size is an issue): Zalman Z3 Plus
PSU: Not changing my 600w (will that be enough power? )
I also need the Mobo to have at least 4 Sata ports.

Any suggestions on cheaper or alternative options, as I don't know what other websites besides Amazon to use? Also, what do you think about the i5 8600k, is it worth it, or will just getting the i5 8400 be fine even though it's not overclockable.

I find the Z370 motherboards to be reasonably priced.
Particularly the smaller M-ATX and ITX motherboards.

Your current cooler is compatible and will do the job.
Your I5-4570 is a 84w tdp processor.
The I5-8400 is only 65w.
The main reason for a different cooler, changing out a 92mm fan for a 120mm fan would be reduced noise under load.
Your power needs will be less, 600w is fine.

I think the I5-8600K with an overclock is going to be THE gaming processor of choice if the $100 difference is important. What YOU need, I do not know.
Look for benchmarks of i5-8400 with YOUR games.

My two shopping sources are newegg and amazon if you buy items that they ship themselves.
If you are looking for 8600K or 8700K be prepared, they are hard to find.
